And a lot of that…
Hey guys!
has the wheels stopped turning yet? Or at least slowed down? Oh it’s just me?
On the professional front – work is still crazy hectic but I do know they hired someone. As for start date I have no clue…then it’s getting them up to speed….yeah then there is That
On the fitness front – Jazzercise is going great. I became an associate instructor at another center. It’s been my 2nd home so it was only a matter of tIme.
On the training plan – it sucks right now. My heel had been bothering me finally I got it looked at. I was told to take it easy & stay off it for a week or three. Seriously??? Craziest part the culprit was my flat shoes!! The ones I wear daily at work!!! $!@?!!!@$. So running & teaching will resume on 2/23 Provided no setbacks.
On the family front – the kids are doing great and every one is growing up way too fast. Lil Debbie is doing well in college & burning up stages with her respective dance companies. Bruce Leroy passed his 3rd degree black belt test & doing great in school. We are preparing for his summer away. He is heading to Cali for his summer program. He has more frequent flyer milles than a lil bit lol. Princess J is still ruling the world. Her smile brightens my day & I love watching her explore & learn new things.
On miscellaneous – I was born & raised as an Anglican & while I converted to spiritual baptist in my adult life my teachings have stuck with me. During Lent I make sacrifices & give up carnal things. This year I have given up meat. I’ve done it in the past but this year it’s different as Ash Wednesday served as my reset button to begin a pescatarian lifestyle. I have been debating this for a few weeks and after consulting my doctor & RD I decided to make the change. My driver behind this decision has all been health issues & preventative measures. I am also fasting from 6am – noon daily with family prayer at 6am & on my own at noon. As I approach my 40th birthday, there is a lot I need to change/adjust in my life. I can’t control the actions of others but I can control mine & how I choose to respond. Taking a look in the mirror & understanding that while you didn’t deserve the plate handed to you if you continue to receive the same plate with different garnish then yeah something has to change in you…..
